My name is Laura Gonzalez and I am a children illustrator, though I like to experiment with other styles.
When I was a little girl, I used to loved drawing, coloring, crafts at kinder garden, catching bugs... any introspective and fun activity where I could express myself without words. I was happy drawing little deformed animals, but they seemed very happy and they made me happy as well.
When it was about time to choose a career, I decided to go for graphic design, where I learnt about illustration and how it was a profession for some people. Just a small step into children's illustration was enough to feel more attracted to it than I could have expected, since it is such a diverse and fun field; that motivated me to follow this way. And thanks to it I have been glad to work with very diverse clients, from different places and cultures, which has been priceless and very enriching.
I like to work in traditional mediums (such as acrylics and pencil), as well as in digital (bitmaps and vectors).
I have illustrated for a good diversity of mediums, such as books, magazines, didactic games, embroidery, virtual stories, cards, among others. So if you have any project in which you would like to count me in, please do not hesitate to contact me.
